Description

** Remote Position **

Company Description

AMS Geek is a brand within the AssociationWire LLC portfolio, headquartered in Leesburg, VA.  AMS Geek is an industry leader in technical consulting, software development and integration services primarily focused on working with associations and nonprofits, with engagements with the federal government and education space as well.

We’re a thriving small business and coming off our strongest year in company history for new sales and deployed customer projects in 2022!  One of our core markets is working with associations and nonprofits, and most of our team, including our CEO, are experienced tech executives from this market.  At AssociationWire LLC dba AMS Geek we have a common goal to help our customers do more with less and create bridges between people and technology.  Our shared passion makes for meaningful work-life balance and an environment filled with hard work, challenges, and the ability to learn from each other while impacting how millions of people collaborate across the globe using our technologies.

By creating a relationship-focused environment from the top-down at the company, the team internally bonds and learns faster while also forming real relationships with our customers and especially contacts at the other technology partners that we collaborate and integrate with throughout the year to support our customers’ technology stack, as well as our own.

Job Description

As a part of AMS Geek’s technical team, our Software Engineers are responsible for building and refining new features, maintaining existing solutions and even working with our Project Managers to support our implementation team when needed.  You will have an opportunity to work in various technologies not just as a programmer but as a valued technical resource across the company.  Our team is searching for a well-rounded engineer that is modest, has a positive attitude, curious and willing to dive into any area of our technology stack.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with your teammates using Slack, Teams, Zoom, Email, Breezio & other tools.
  • Contribute directly to our code base - .NET (C#) stack running on Microsoft Azure, with an MS SQL backend and JavaScript frontend.
  • Collaborate with the development team to solve the technical challenges of how we build new features & scale our platform with our growing user base.
  • Debug & troubleshoot complex support issues using standard .NET stack tools & Azure platform tools.
  • Interact directly with our customers in collaboration on new features & support of existing systems.

What We'll Bring

  • Your time matters! Enjoy generous PTO, schedule flexibility, and paid corporate holidays
  • We're fully remote - Work where you want without the hassle. Whether you prefer to settle in one place or live the life of a digital nomad, you can take your work with you.
  • Eligibility to participate in all benefits available now or in the future including healthcare, 401K and more.
  • Connection matters! We were meeting virtually before it was cool! From our Zoom group lunches and virtual happy hours, to occasional opportunities to meet in person, you will never feel disconnected.
  • You will be joining an already talented technical team so you won't get lost in the woods. Our team will help you get up to speed on what we are doing and manage you with realistic expectations.
  • Our open-door policy with managers and the company CEO means you will always feel heard and supported and you will know what is happening in other parts of the business, not just within your own team.
  • Professional Development - We invest in professional development for every employee, so you can pursue your next certification or attend continuing education.
  • Complete Collaboration - Using planning software like Trello, our developers can easily keep track of everyone's work and help each other if blockers / problems arise.
  • Your Own Tech Stack - Computer, equipment, and software is provided to help you thrive in your role.
