Reporting to the Director of Systems Administration, the Business Systems Analyst is responsible for working in cross-functional teams to help develop approaches to enhance the customer experience, defining and launching new customer-facing products and services, improving business productivity, and mitigating risk to the organization. The analyst meets with key stakeholders to determine and articulate goals, gathers/analyzes data, evaluates business impact, creates process maps and wire frames, defines business and system requirements for and across applications and services, and assists in the design, coordination, and execution of projects. The analyst also supports business operations through report development and end-user support.

 Responsibilities include:

  • Plan and conduct sessions with business users and technical team to capture the business objectives, metrics, and requirements for systems/product enhancements, primarily focused on the Association Management System and its integration with other services. Produce detailed documentation for project objectives, use cases, functional, non- functional requirements.
  • Use systems and business analysis skills to identify the underlying root cause of reported issues or business objective of proposed project or enhancement opportunities and collaborate with team members in the analysis of those requirements and design of the most effective solution.
  • Assist with project management activities for prioritization, planning, change management, task/progress tracking, and communication across project stakeholders. Support project delivery through creation of as built and training materials and testing of delivered products.  Further develop project management skills by fully managing delegated projects. 
  • Maintain the backlog of systems enhancements for prioritization and scheduling.  Actively seek opportunities for business process and systems improvements with an eye toward a better member experience and internal operational efficiency.
  • Become an expert user of Association Management System, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and other tools to provide application support for operations; load, cleanse, or manipulate data; manage staff-reported issues and testing; and serve as an IT liaison for escalated issues/incidents and system maintenance.  Use these systems to build decision support tools (dashboards, scorecards, reports) to empower operational and exploratory analytics.  Create and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights for systems; provide introduction training for onboarding of new hires.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualified candidates will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business analysis, project management, or a combination of education and experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role. 
  • Experience in SQL and Microsoft Office Suite (including Power Automate).
  • Experience with Personify Association Management System or similar AMS/CRM with focus on customization/configuration projects, integration with other systems, and problem resolution.
  • Ability to understand, analyze, and solve business problems using technology.
  • Ability to utilize project management skills to develop a path forward and manage the process to completion.
  • Capacity to analyze problems and communicate the results with tact and professionalism, including the ability to identify and challenge long-held assumptions.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills with a comfort in maintaining multiple, often conflicting, priorities.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and within multi-functional teams with initiative and accountability.
  • Prior business analysis and Agile/Scrum experience preferred.
  • Superior interpersonal, organization, documentation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lift items 20 lbs. or heavier.
