Job Description
The Département de systèmes d’information organisationnels (SIO) of the Faculté des sciences de
l’administration (FSA) is inviting applications for a faculty position at the open rank of Assistant, Associate
or Full Professor starting January 1st, 2025. Responsibilities include:
1. Teach MIS courses to undergraduate, master's and doctoral students, including courses related to
cybersecurity governance and management.
2. Conduct research in management information systems and/or related subjects.
3. Supervise graduate and doctoral students and actively participate in continuing education activities.
4. Contribute to the life of the department, school and university.
5. Develop ties with the academic and business communities.
6. Commit to being a regular member of the Research Chair in Cybersecurity Governance and
Management.
Conditions
Rank: Adjunct, Assistant or Associate Professor
Salary according to the current collective agreement at Université Laval.

Requirements
Selection criteria
Candidates must:
1. Hold a Ph.D. degree in business administration with a specialization in management information
systems or equivalent. Candidates in the process of completing their doctoral studies will also be
considered.
2. Have an excellent research publication record or demonstrate a strong potential for future publications.
3. Be able to teach in the areas put forward by the SIO department, including those related to
cybersecurity governance and management.
4. Demonstrate research interests compatible with those of the SIO department, including those related
to cybersecurity governance and management.
5. During a presentation to the department, the candidate should demonstrate the ability to transmit
research results effectively and explain their scientific and practical implications.
6. Demonstrate the ability to develop and maintain ties with the academic and the business communities.
7. Demonstrate the ability to deliver high quality teaching in the field of expertise.
8. Be able to teach courses in French within a short period after the start date. Candidates who currently
do not speak French are still encouraged to apply. If selected, these candidates will be given 2 to 3
years to learn the language.
9. Be familiar with the other disciplines in business administration.
10. Demonstrate the ability to secure research funding.
